For awhile now we've been receiving Pyramid Collection's catalog. Naturally, we liked what we saw and I had a wishlist a mile long, so for Xmas this year Tigger decided to buy two of my presents from them. Unfortunately, her decision turned into a month long ordeal and as of today undelivered packages.
It all started the day after Thanksgiving when Tigger placed her order. According to the shopping cart the order totaled between $30 - $40 however the receipt she received after submitting the order totaled between $70 - $80. Apparently, Pyramid's system placed two orders instead of one. I thought she might have hit submit twice but she says no. At any rate she called Pyramid's Customer Service to cancel the second order. After trying their 800 number twice and waiting on hold for 10 - 20 minutes the lady informed her she could not cancel the order but she would note the account and asked Tigger to call back the next week. Sure...
Tigger waited until the next week (Nov. 26th or 27th) and called again. In the meantime, the second order appeared on her statement; the first had already cleared. After another 15 - 30 minutes on hold another lady told her she could not cancel the second order because it was already at the warehouse to be shipped. The lady said she would refund Tigger her money and the cost of mailing the extra items back. Fine...
A few weeks go by and we haven't received the items. Worried they're not going to arrive in time Tigger calls again on December 13th. This time a rather rude lady tells Tigger the items were shipped December 1st and that it takes 10 - 12 days for delivery. Okay...
Now we come to today and still no delivery. Frustrated Tigger asked me to call since I'm the bitchy one. At this point she wants a full refund and I don't blame her. Day before Christmas Eve, the package is M.I.A. and she ordered a month ago. Gratefully, the lady who answered was nice and understood the situation. It took about 30 minutes but the lady's manager agreed to issue a full refund. Ordeal over? We'll see...
Update:
As of the second week in January no refund or packages so I called again. According to the lady who answered, the account was not noted when I called December 23rd and the manager was in meeting so I couldn't talk to him. So I called back two days later and what a coincedence the refund was issued the day I called.
You know at first I was willing to give a benefit of the doubt but now .... guess I'll have to find another place that sells that velvet green cape. Damn!

It's official - Tuesday, March 27th we will be sitting center stage at the Fox Theatre. To all my friends... na-na-na-boo-boo. ;-)
2007 is starting off to be one hell of a year and it's not even here yet.

Celtic Woman - A New Journey
If you haven't seen Celtic Woman's A New Journey then you're missing out. Simply put, these women are phenomenal.
A year or so ago I saw their first concert on PBS and instantly fell in love. Matter of fact the concert wasn't even finished when I dashed over to the computer to buy their CD and DVD from Amazon. Even today, the CD accompanies me wherever I go. Right Tigger? ;-)
Over the weekend, while flipping channels I practically squealed in delight (amazing, eh?) when I saw Celtic Woman back for another concert. Titled A New Journey, this concert takes place at Slane Castle in Ireland. I missed the first 30 minutes or so but what I did see... *drool*. This is thus by far my favorite concert just for the energy and movement.
If you can, try catching it on PBS. If not, join me in waiting for its release.
Hail Celtic Woman!

2006 Retrospective and Amazon Vigil
While I wait for the Axion Portable DVD players to go on sale at Amazon, I might as well write my first post. Considering this is the last month of the year I figure a retrospective of 2006 will do nicely.
12 months ago I spent Christmas unemployed. At times I wondered whether I would find a job I'd like let alone want; other times... I won't go into. Interviews came and went as did freelance projects but for the most part I spent the first three months of 2006 mooching off of Tigger. Not a proud time.
Finally in March, I accepted a position for a company in Atlanta and enjoyed it for awhile even though I didn't have a life thanks to Atlanta traffic. By the end of July though I became disgruntled and resigned much to anxiety of Tigger who had nightmares of me being jobless again. As Lady Luck would have it though the day after handing in my resignation I interviewed with and was hired by another company. Fate? I believe so.
Now we come to December. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy who I work for. I'm able to relax more on the weekends without guilt from feeling like I need to work. And above all I'm no longer mooching. I actually make more than Tigger. *big grin*
I do have one regret though.... I missed the sale because I was writing this. ;-)
Be well.
